THE BASICS
✅What is Pro Players Business?
A private referral network for former professional athletes and high-level connectors. You make an introduction to someone who already takes your call. The partner company's own sales team handles the presentation, the questions, the onboarding, and the account. Every introduction is covered by a written agreement you sign before you make it.
✅Why does it exist?
Because former players have extraordinary contacts and no infrastructure behind them.
Brad Leggett played football from age seven — Pop Warner, high school, USC, the NFL — because his father did it first. Then it ended, the way it ends for everybody, and in that era the league and the union didn't have the transition programs they have today. There was no next chapter waiting.
Talking to more and more former players, two things came into focus. Almost every one of them was going through the same transition alone. And almost all of them were making valuable introductions for free — on a handshake, with nothing in writing — and ending up outside deals they created. Brad heard that story over and over. It had happened to him over and over.
Pro Players Business was built in 2015 so that never has to happen again.
✅What are the two rules?
Rule one: there is never a fee to join. No fee, no inventory, no starter package, no monthly minimum.
Rule two: everybody is papered up on the front end. Before an introduction is made, it's in writing who is protected and what everybody makes.
✅Is there really no cost?
None. PPB doesn't make money from the people in it. Partner companies pay for access to introductions they couldn't get on their own — that's the entire business model. If a network ever asks you to pay for the privilege of referring business, that tells you where its revenue actually comes from.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO
✅What does a referral rep do?
One thing: identify the right person in your own network and get them onto the initial call with the partner company. That's where it ends. Their team takes the consultation, the technical questions, the follow-up, and the account.
✅Do I have to sell anything?
No. You never present, never demo, never quote, never negotiate, and never close. You make the introduction and hand it off.
✅Isn't this just a cold call with a nicer name?
No, and that's the whole point. A partner company can buy a list, run ads, and hire a sales team. What they can't buy is a business owner picking up because your name is on the screen. A cold call isn't a smaller version of this — it's a different thing entirely, and it's not what we're asking you for.
✅Do I need product training?
No. Each program runs a live overview call — who the partner is, what they do, and the profile of business owner they're looking for. That's twenty minutes of context, not training. You're never expected to know the product.
✅Am I an employee?
No. Every rep is an independent contractor. No quotas, no hours, no minimums, no reporting requirements.
PROEDGE
✅What is Pro Edge?
Pro Edge is Pro Players Business's proprietary AI rep management system. It was built in-house for this network, it isn't licensed from anybody, and every introduction in PPB runs through it. Once your agreement is approved and signed, you get access.
✅How does Pro Edge protect my contact?
You register the contact in Pro Edge before you approach them. Pro Edge runs a conflict check against the entire network, confirms no other rep has already registered that person, and tags the contact to you for that program. Registered means protected. Credit goes to whoever registers first, and the record is created before you say a word to anybody.
✅How do I know which program my contact fits?
You don't have to. Pro Edge's AI algorithms analyze the contact's business — what they do, the services they provide, how they operate — and identify which of our business programs is the strongest match.
✅What is a Green Light Gameplan?
Your instructions for that one contact on that one program: exactly what to say, exactly what to send, and exactly what not to say. It's built specifically for them. Two reps registering two different contacts on the same program get two different Gameplans — it's built for one opponent and it's useless for anybody else.
✅How should I approach my contact?
Your Gameplan tells you, in this order: in person first, then a phone call, then a text, and email last. Email is the weakest signal you have. In person is the strongest. Don't invert it.
✅What else does Pro Edge do?
My Businesses tracks where every contact you've registered stands. My Team shows your affiliate team. Commissions show what's been earned and paid. There's also an AI agent you can call any time with a question, and an AI assistant built into ProEdge for real-time answers while you're working in it — both in beta and updated daily.
COMPENSATION
✅How am I compensated?
Through one of two structures depending on the program: commissioned programs and fee-based programs. Which one applies, and the terms that go with it, are documented in your independent contractor agreement and visible in Pro Edge before you register anything.
✅Why don't you publish numbers?
Because your terms are in your agreement, signed before any of this starts — not agreed to verbally, not settled after the deal closes, and not implied by somebody else's results on a website. You'll see the actual terms in writing before you make a single introduction. That's rule two.
✅What happens after my contact is onboarded?
The program's team runs the account directly — service, support, and the ongoing relationship. That's normal servicing of a live account, and it's what you want happening behind your name.
THE NETWORK AND THE PARTNERS
✅Do I have to be a former NFL player?
Not anymore. PPB spent its first years working only with former NFL players. It now includes athletes from every sport and high-level connectors and operators outside of sports. The requirement isn't a resume — it's real relationships with business owners and decisionmakers who take your call.
✅Are the partner companies vetted?
Yes. Before a program goes live, we review the entity's registration and corporate documentation, the backgrounds of its leadership, and its financial standing. PPB does not promote pay-to-play arrangements, multi-level marketing, speculative investments, or anything that trades on a player's name instead of delivering something real.
✅Is Pro Players Business affiliated with the NFL or any players organization?
No. Pro Players Business LLC is independently owned and operated. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, NFL Legends, NFL Alumni, the NFLPA, the NFLRPA, or any other league, team, or players association.
GETTING STARTED
✅How do I join?
Complete the application. It asks who referred you or how you heard about us — this is a referral network, and we intend to keep it one. Every application is reviewed by hand, and not every application is approved. If yours is, the agreement is sent to you to review and e-sign. Once it's approved and signed, Pro Edge opens up.
✅What if I sign and never do anything with it?
That's fine. There's no quota, no minimum, no deadline, and nobody chasing you. Plenty of members sign, sit on it, and make their first introduction months later when the right conversation happens to come up. Signing costs nothing and commits you to nothing — it just means that when you do make an introduction, you're protected.
✅My company wants to become a PPB partner. How does that work?
